UNIBEN Killing; Police Confirm Act Took Place In Church As RCCG Demand Justice: Olusegun Ariyo

The Killing of the undergraduate student identified as Uwaila Omosuwa who was murdered in Edo state has continued to raise more concerns hence the police have confirmed killing took place in the church.
The Edo state police command made this disclosure in a statement made available to urban Express news Online through the Edo state police public relation officer, Dsp Chidi Nwabuzor saying the incident indeed took place in a church.

Nwabuzor said on Wednesday 27th of May 2020, the Divisional Police officer (DPO) in charge of ikpoba hill received a complaint from elder Johnson omosuwa, a 23-year-old was attacked and wounded by unknown hoodlums while she was studying inside the Redeemed Christian church of God (RCCG) at Amadasun street, ohovbe with a location at ikpoba hill in Edo state.
“This was how a  team of policemen was mobilized to the crime scene in the company of victims’ father, elder Johnson omosuwa to the scene where it meets the victim in her pool of blood.
The spokesman said the team was able to recover fire extinguisher, a cylinder which the hoodlum used in inflicting injuries on the victim and the fingerprint on it was lifted during the preliminary investigation while the victim was rushed to enoma to hospital for treatment
He said the hospital could no longer treat her and referred her to the university of Benin teaching hospital for further treatment where Uwaila omosuwa eventually gave up the ghost.
Urban Express-News learnt that Uwaila who went to read in the Redeemed Christian church of God, miracle sanctuary, mega Parish was allegedly raped and assaulted by assailants
It was gathered that the men forced their way into the church, where they raped and struck Uwaila in the head with a fire extinguisher.
Our Correspondent learnt the guard, who found Uwaila in a pool of  her blood reportedly called for help and the victim was rushed to the hospital, this was as he resumed duty with the understanding of wanting to collect a key to the church when he discovered that someone was already inside.
Meanwhile, the Redeemed Christian church of God has commiserated with the family of Uwaila Omozuwa who was raped and assaulted in a parish of the church in Benin.
Media and Public Relation head of the redeemed church of God Pastor Olaitan olabiyi told journalists on Sunday that the victim was a committed chorister in one of the church’s parishes.
He asked the police to get to the root of the case and bring the killers to justice.
Omozuwa’s brutal killing has been trending on Twitter, with many Nigerians, including celebrities, calling for justice.
The victim, who recently gained admission to the University of Benin, was said to be aspiring to be a nurse.
