In this report, Olusegun Ariyo writes on speculation raised about the perceived feud between Tinubu and Aregbesola on social media and what Many believe May have Triggered it
For those still in doubt or in the belief regarding the perceived feud between the National Leader of the All Progressive Congress chief Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his political son, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola may have cause to be in whichever choice of perception they may have fallen into, believing there is indeed a feud between them or not.
The Trending thoughts on the social media following those having the belief that indeed, there may be a feud between them are of the view that the statement coming from El-Rufai during Aregbesolas’ birthday can be said to be a stain that is possibly difficult to wash away entirely given that there was no counter-response coming from the said political son of the former governor of Lagos state whose birthday brought the present Kaduna state governor, Mallam El-Rufai together through a webinar.
Punch report on May 31, 2020, stated that the former governor of Osun state and the present minister of interior, ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola had his 63 birthday and guests speaking through a webinar, had El-Rufai’s remarked that Aregbesola remained his man any day anytime but that Tinubu was not his man, saying his view was due to the differences between him and the former Lagos state governor.
But many observers believe there is more than meets the eyes, and that their understanding is derived from the fact that there is nowhere such is done where a remark of such is made against a political leader of interest and where the need to response becomes expedient and unfortunately, there was salient!
Some are of the opinion that since such remark was made during Aregbesola’s birthday, it is impossible for some Nigerians not to derive another meaning to it, the minister of interior should have faulted such remark there and then.
Urban Express gathered that mandate group and justice forum that is regarded as the strongest group has been outlawed by the state chapter of All Progressive Congress, two weeks after it was reported that ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola reorganized the mandate group without the endorsement of his political leader and national leader of the party, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu
A communiqué on Monday titled, ‘Engendering Party Discipline and Cohesion,’ signed by 27 chieftains of the APC, who are members of the Governor’s Advisory Council said any member who continued to associate with any sub-group would be expelled.
It said party members should no longer make use of those factions or their names with regards to future party business and activities.
Among those who signed the communiqués were Tinubu; Lagos Governor, Babajide Sanwoolu; the Deputy Governor, Obafemi Hamzat; and former governor Babatunde Raji Fashola.
For those in doubt and those in the belief that the duo’s relationship is going frosty or that is not, must have to ponder more and read the thin line in-between the trending developments in other to juxtapose either for or against as the 2023 general election is Not just a long walk anymore.
