The Lagos state police command said it has arrested four suspects at Bariga for allegedly killing a 16-year-old house girl.
It was learnt that one shade Moke; a 41-year-old housewife did conspire with three others on 29-02-2020 and allegedly killed one halimat sodiq, a 16-year-old house girl over allegation of stealing.
In a statement Made Available to Urban Express-News Online through the Lagos State Police Public Relation officer, Dsp Bala Elkana said the victim is said to be a house help to Shade Moke as she was alleged of stealing (N2000), Two thousand Naira from her madam which she denied.
Elkana said the woman as identified as shade moke had to invite the remaining three suspects who tortured the girl to death as they buried her secretly at Aton cemetery so as to conceal the murder.
"The four suspects were arrested, and during interrogation denied the allegations as they however admitted slapping the late halimat for denying that she stole the money as they claim the girl went into convulsion after drinking water and that she was taken to three different hospitals before she eventually died.
The spokesman said the suspects claimed the girl was buried by her parents and not them, adding that the late Halimat’s parent was also contacted for their statement.
“The commissioner of police Hakeem Odumosu has ordered the immediate transfer of the case to the criminal investigation department with a location in Yaba for discreet investigation and diligent prosecution”.

Also, operatives did arrest sixteen miscreants in both itire and ikorodu after acting on credible intelligence about the activities of some suspected cultist at Ogunmuyiwa Street at itire.
The statement put further that after special task force on social miscreants were deployed to the area ten suspects were arrested in itire with name Ahmed Ajibosi, Qasim Gabriel, Rasheed Afolabi, Terry Ebode, Ibe Ugochukwu, Yusuf Abubakar, Uche Ndubiuisi, Lateef Akintunde, Ojo Sunday, and wale sodiq.
while in ikorodu, those that were arrested are from Agric, specifically at Owutu.
Elkana said a team of detectives led by the Divisional Police officer was able to arrest six suspects which include Olusola shotola (33), Samuel Adebayo (28), Umaru Ibrahim (23), Ayo Idowu (30), Gbolahan Adeola (18), hammed Lukman (35).
The spokesman said investigation is ongoing as suspects will be charged to court
