Barely Twenty four hours to the demise of president Buhari’s chief of staff Malam Abba Kyari after testing positive to Coronavirus which led to his death, the National Centre Disease Control NCDC announced another 348 males, 145 females to have been tested positive.
The total of infectious recorded is now 493 since the pandemic began.

In the report released via its twitter, the NCDC said the most affected age bracket were those between 31 and 40 years adding that a total number of 7, 154 test have been conducted so far while 9221 people of interest have been identified.
The statistic specifically indicate the positive cases show 210 had travel history, 175 were contacts of those with travel history, 16 persons were unknown sources while 92 were “incomplete”.
However, 159 recoveries have made while fatalities have been recorded.
Meanwhile, Akwa Ibom said it was embarking on aggressive testing prelude to considering whether the domestic economy would be reopened after the one week lockdown extension.
In a statement signed by Charles Udoh, Akwa-Ibom state commissioner for information said its appeal to all residents to corporate and offer themselves for testing even if they are yet displaying symptoms.
“The whole idea is to make sure everybody is safe, considering that safety is paramount to the state government”
He said resident are enjoined to continue to observe stipulated personal and respiratory hygiene guidelines and practice social distancing.
