Barely few weeks after the Announcement of officers elevated from Nigeria custom service to their next ranks, its command in seme decorated those within its purview to their next rank today.
The event took place at the conference hall of the joint border operation post, and that which had the presence of its custom Area comptroller, Mallam Mohammed Uba Garba as the chairman of the occasion.
Explaining some salient points to the newly decorated officer, comptroller Garba charged the officers to see their promotion as an avenue for greater responsibilities and better efficiency output that would justify their new ranks.
“Let me thank the comptroller general for his support and essentially in the way he has been boosting the morals of officers through prompt promotions as at when due”
Comptroller Garba urged the newly promoted to pray so that God will make them more responsible and committed to their new task ahead.
The thirty-three officers promoted were decorated to the admiration of their representative.
The Command’s ppro Abdullahi Onawo in a statement said those Promoted in categories are five from the rank of superintendent to the chief superintendents, four from chief superintendent to the rank of Assistant comptroller, while one was elevated from the rank of the superintendent to chief superintendent, five from assistant superintend got, deputy superintendent of customs. Fourteen others specifically from the rank of assistant superintendent, 1 got elevated to their next rank as seven inspectors equally got promoted to their next rank.
