Operatives of the Lagos state police, command have arrested one Sylvester Uzor (23) and his accomplice Azeez Ibrahim (23) in possession of iPhone 7plus after acting on a tip-off.
The two suspects had their residence at 128 moradeyo street Agboju whilst his other accomplice reside 16 Jane’s Onifade street Iyana ipaja, and the duo was arrested along community road in Bariga.
A statement coming from the Lagos State Police Public Relation officer Dsp Bala Elkana said; a team of police at Bariga division was able to arrest two suspects after snatching the said phone from one Femi omojolowo (28) with a resident at 42 owokoniran street in Surulere, Lagos.
Elkana said the suspect had confessed to the crime, adding that they have been charged to court.
Command also arrests a 54-year-old man for killing another quinquagenarian over slight argument.
Trouble brewed after an altercation that prompted one Segun mopoderin (54) with resident at 3 iyanu oluwopo streets off county within Agege metropolis to allegedly poured hot water on one oposanwo Gbenga (58) of same address.
“The victim was eventually rushed to the hospital for treatment where he was later pronounced dead”
The spokesman said the corpse has been deposited at ikorodu general hospital mortuary for autopsy.
Elkana said the suspect is now cooling off in the homicide section of the command, adding that he will be charged to court.
Meanwhile a reckless driver identified as Meshach Baba with a resident at 10, odogbolu streets off Ademola Aguda with Toyota Camry registration number BDG-24 FL , whose action resulted in a fatal accident involving three Toyota cars and motorcycles at Masha overhead bridge along Surulere metropolis was said to be coming from national stadium road with top speed inward Masha when he swerved to another lane and hit a Bajaj motorcycle with a rider and its passenger and also hit two vehicles that were equally coming from shitta inward national stadium.
The statement put further that the passenger of the motorcycle died on the spot.
Elkana said the name and address of the passenger are not known yet adding that preliminary investigation shows that the deceased might be a painter because of the stains of different colours of paints on their clothes.
He said the corpse was deposited at Randle general hospital mortuary.
The spokesman said the damaged vehicle has been removed from the road to vehicle inspection operation (VIO) for inspection.
Elkana said the driver who caused the accident is arrested adding that investigation is ongoing as suspect will be charged to court
