World Habitat Day: Lagos Harp On Sustenance of Waste Management : Olusegun Ariyo
The Lagos state governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-olu on Monday said his administration will key into waste management sustenance in other to ensure sustainable development in the state.
The governor made this remark while marking the world habitat day organised by the ministry of physical planning and urban development.
Sustainable waste efficiency in the state is ensuring that every step are channelled towards inclusive planning that is embraced within the city, metropolis and rural areas within the state.
The visible tact representative of the Governor, Dr Obafemi Hamzat told stakeholders
that the state is determined and committed to ensure a healthier environment.
He said the state will re-energized the solid waste management by developing concepts to reduce, reuse and recycle.
The united nation (UN) has set aside every first Monday of October of every year as world habitat Day to reflect on the state of our towns, cities and on the basic right of all to adequate shelter.
The day is also intended to remind the world that we have power and the responsibility to shape the future of our cities and cities and towns
