Lagos state police command has arrested one innocent ifunayachi that was said to have drugged a 14-year-old teenager in her family house, taking undue advantage of being a family friend.
In a statement made available to urban express news online through the police public relation officer Dsp Bala Elkana said; the 34-year-old innocent ifunayachi visited the resident of the victim under the guys of being a family friend, saw the victim eating indomie, request the victim to help get some water, as she left for the errand, the suspect (innocent ifunayachi) quickly put some quantities of dry leaves suspected to be Indian hemp into her food.
Elkana said upon returning, the victim went back eating her food without any foreknowledge of the substance added.
She lost consciousness after eating the said food and he took advantage of it and raped her.
The spokesman said detectives from the family support unit arrested the suspect and that he had confessed to the commission of the crime.
He said the victim was taken to hospital for medical treatment and forensic examination adding that the suspect will be charged to court.
In a similar vein, operatives also nab one kazeem Bello for raping and impregnating a 13-year-old girl.
The statement put further that Bariga police division received a complaint, and that sometime in November 2018, the suspects, a 29-year-old known as kazeem Bello allegedly conspired with one Dayo maker (24), with a resident at 26 oreshegun street elaje Bariga and gang-raped a 13-year-old girl.
Elkana said the victim became pregnant as a result of the defilement and gave birth to a baby girl about five weeks ago.
The spokesman said the suspects had earlier on threatened to kill the victim if she tells anybody.
The survivor summoned the courage to narrate her ordeal to her family when the same suspects threatened to rape her younger sister.
Elkana said one of the suspects (Dayo maker) was arrested by detectives from the family support unit in Bariga while his accomplice Mr Kazem Bello is at large
He said investigation is on-going, as efforts emplaced to apprehend the second suspect
