Operatives of the Lagos state police command has arrested two notorious armed robber suspects in ejigbo
A statement coming from the Lagos state police public relation officer Dsp Bala Elkana said; a team of police led by Insp. Jacob shanvoedu attached to state criminal investigation Department (CID) stormed a criminal hideout at Coker junction by NNPC road and arrested two robbery suspects with name Seyi Ogundele (36) AKA Spartacus and Ogunmola Akintola (30) AKA T9.
He said the suspects were involved in a series of armed robberies within ejigbo and environs.
Elkana said an investigation is on-going and that suspect will be charged to court
Meanwhile ten the suspected cultist was today arrested within itire metropolis
The statement put further that after receiving a distress call of a fire outbreak at chukuma hotel adjacent Babalola street, in prompt response, a combined team of policemen and firefighters were mobilized to the scene where the fire was eventually put off.
Elkana said preliminary investigation revealed that the fire was set up by some cult groups known as Eiye and Aiye confraternity that clashed at a drinking joint in the hotel.
He said trouble, however, started when a hot argument ensued between members of two rival gangs in the joint
The son of the owner of the hotel who is now at large was said to have stabbed a member of a rival gang identified as Aliu Lamidi whose residence is located Aboredhade Street on his neck, where he was rushed to the and eventually gave up
The spokesman said three vehicles that were parked by the shoulder road got burned
He said ten suspects were arrested in connection with the incidents
Elkana said security is beefed up in the affected area, adding that investigation is on-going and that suspects will be charged to court.
