Operatives of the Lagos state police command have arrested one Yisah showunmi with age 68 for allegedly raping her daughter and her friend.
Narrating what transpired, the Lagos state police public relation officer Dsp Bala Elkana in a statement said; the fifteen-year-old victim (name withheld) reported a case of defilement at Imota police station against her father, one Yisah showunmi.
Elkana said the survivor alleged that her father has been having sexual intercourse with her for the past three years.
“She further alleged that when her two friends name withheld with ages 15 and 16 came to stay in their house; her father also had sexual intercourse with them”
The spokesman was quoted as saying that the victim explained that all incidents happened on the 23rd of June this year
He said the suspect however confessed to the crime and that he is charged to court.
Meanwhile, command has also arrested one Ademola Quadri a Driver under Uber platform and other suspect with name Uche Sunday for raising a false alarm.
The statement put further that the 39-year-old Ademola Quadri with residence at 24 Oloko street Ogba within Lagos metropolis reported a case to igando police station that three armed men snatched his Toyota Corolla saloon car with registration no smk 732 BR, owned by a particular organisation.
But the Divisional police officer suspecting sinister motives quickly activated credible intelligence network followed up on the call details and relevant messages of Ademola Quadri who was not aware his transaction is being monitored.
Elkana said facts emerge when a message of five hundred and sixty thousand Naira (N560) entered his phone with a follow up message, demanding thereof to have the car to which a part payment made.
The spokesman said the suspect during interrogations confessed to the commission of the crime and led detectives to Ijegun area within ikotun environment where the purported snatched vehicle was kept pending full payment.
He said the operatives did arrest two other suspects with name Uche Sunday (32) and the marketer who claims to have negotiated the purchase of the car through an online platform.
Elkana said Quadri had confessed that he framed and put up a false alarm to enable his raise money to buy a ticket and travel to Canada for a better life.
He said command advice citizens to be careful, before parting with funds when carrying out online transactions adding that suspects have been charged to court.
