*Lagos Police Fingers Anti-Cultism Team, Says Arrest Has Been Made
The intense campaign coming as a result of the outcry over the alleged brutality of the Federal Special Anti-robbery squad (FSARS) after the directive of vice president Yemi Osinbajo has again sprung up as a result of the killing that took place along onipesi within Lagos metropolis where kalade Johnson was reported to have been killed through stray bullet where police said an eyewitness account  shows it was a team of anti-cultism and that arrest has been made.
This Development is said to elicited more reaction on social media where many Nigerians had begun to wonder if the Directive of vice President Osinbajo to overhaul the entire squad has any positive impact

Professor Osinbajo last year in August 2018 ordered the overhaul of the entire Federal Special Anti Robbery Squad, this follows as the former inspector general of police IGP Ibrahim Idris gives a directive that ordered every FSARS members not to attend to any civil or commercial matter again but strictly to armed robbery and kidnapping cases
These Decisions were reached because of reported cases of police brutality, youths corralled together on social media to share their torrid tales of extortion and wanton abuse in the hands of law enforcement agents meant to protect them.
From being harassed, threatened and led at gunpoint to empty your bank accounts to the near-death experience of a drunken officer discharging a live firearm indiscriminately.
But the directive of the vice president Osinbajo may have been short-lived after the appointment of the new inspector general of police, IGP Mohammed Adamu who returned SARS to its old format of being a unit under a state police commissioner
Barely two months after the IGP’s order, was the rascality of the men of the Nigeria police again in the public eye.
Since the protocol review, there have been fewer complaints of brutality from the unit. However, there are valid fears the Special Anti Cultism Squad could become the latest police unit involved in citizen brutality and extortion.
A Nigerian man, Kolade Johnson, was killed on Sunday after being hit by a stray bullet fired by officers during a raid in his neighbourhood in Lagos.
There were reports that the killers were from the Nigerian police’s Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad, FSARS. But a police source at the Lagos State Police command revealed it was a detective with the anti-cultism unit who fired the bullet that killed the man
Reacting to what was reported widely on social media, the Lagos state police public relation officer, Dsp Bala Elkana in a statement said the command did receive a distress call that indeed Lagos Abeokuta road has been blocked by some angry youths who are protesting the shooting of kolade Johnson
Accordingly, he said the team of police that came was actually from Anti cultism unit.

Although the police said in other to quell the protest, it immediately drafted a team of policemen from the rapidly respond squads and metro police to the scene.

Continuing, the police spokesman said an eye witness account was what helped in identifying the team which actually fled the scene immediately after the incident
He said a member of the team suspected to be involved in the shooting have since
been arrested and are currently in police custody undergoing interrogation.

“They will be subjected to internal discipline to internal disciplinary procedures, and may be prosecuted in conventional court if implicated by the ongoing investigation”.

The police spokesman said the commissioner of police, cp zubairu Muazu has requested members of the public to be calm; assuring that justice will prevail in this case.

"The Lagos state commissioner of police also condoles with the family of the deceased, friends and well-wishers.

"He promise to initiate far-reaching reforms to help in repositioning the anti-cultism squad for effective service delivery particularly in the area of respect for human rights and proficiency in the use of a firearm".
