A Magistrate court sitting in Ebute Metta area of Lagos state has directed that Ogunyemi be remanded in prison custody
Inspector Olalekan Ogunyemi was dismissed after going through orderly room trial that found him guilty following his action which led to the killing of kolade Johnson who was reportedly shot, within a range kilometre not far from a spot centre where the deceased is said to be watching football.
The dismissed police inspector was arraigned in court (today) Friday by the criminal investigation department of the Lagos state police command.
the offence of the accused according to the prosecutor contravened the provision of section 223 of the criminal law of Lagos state 2015 as he urges the magistrate to remand the accused of 30 days whilst the defence counsel pleaded that the remand period could be reduced to 14days
the Lagos state public relation officer Dsp Bala Elkana also disclose it in a state affirming his arraignment and subsequent directives, ordering him to be remanded in prison custody.
