Hours After The Release Of Fire Service Boss, Police Nabbed Two Suspects

Few Hours after releasing the Director of Lagos state fire service and six others by its abductors, the operatives of the Lagos state police command have arrested two suspects with name Blessing Bayo and Smart Alfred.
They are said to be a prime suspect that may be having something to do with the kidnapping of Lagos state fire service boss and six others on Saturday.


A statement coming from the Lagos state police public relation officer Dsp Bala Elkana on Wednesday said; a well-coordinated operation by men of the Anti kidnapping unit of the command led to the arrest of Bayo and Alfred, who accordingly, had confessed to being part of the gang that perpetrated the crime
He said, “Following a sustained and well-coordinated operation by the command’s tactical teams led by the officer in charge of the Anti-Kidnapping Unit, SP Bulus Musa, two members of the kidnapping gang that abducted the Director of the Lagos State Fire Service, Rasaki Musibau, and six others on Saturday, April 6, 2019, around 8pm, were arrested.
“The suspects namely, Blessing Bayo, 29, and Smart Alfred, 32, all from Arogbo, in Ondo State, were arrested on Wednesday, April 10, 2019, around 5.30am at Ibafun, Ikorodu-Ijebu Ode Expressway, a boundary community with Ogun State, and they all confessed to committing the crime.
Urban express News Online  had reported that gunmen laid siege to the Iwoye Bridge around 8pm on Saturday, when Musbau, who was on his way to Epe, and the other victims, who were travelling to different destinations, ran into the ambush

The other victims were identified as Mufutau Adams, Funmilayo Adelumo, Asiogu Martha, Lasisi Muka and two others, whose identities had yet to be confirmed.
