Police Nab Four Armed Robbers, Recovers Weapon, unregistered Motorcycle In A Lagos Suburb. BY OLUSEGUN ARIYO

The Lagos state police said it has arrested four armed robbers while attempting to rob a settlement at Alhaji Gafaru Street, specifically along at imude road, ilemba Hausa in Ojo metropolis, a Lagos suburb.

The rubbers numbering about seven on a motorcycle were sighted entering Alhaji Gafaru street before the police received a distress call that a group of unknown faces were sighted moving toward Alhaji Gafaru street within ilemba Hausa

A statement by the Lagos state police public relation officer, Dsp Bala Elkana said upon receipt of the information, police Anti  Robbery squad and metro patrol teams were drafted to the scene.

“On sighting the police, the armed robbers opened fire but were subdued by the superior firepower of our gallant teams”.

He said one semiu Ibrahim (24yrs) and 29-year-old Francis Obi were arrested while chinozo Felix alias “power” with age (29) and Ifeanyi Uche were fatally injured

Dsp Bala said before the arrival of the police, the robbers succeeded in inflicting injury on two of their victims and that one died in the process while the other sustained serious injury

Accordingly, the public relation officer gave the name of the dead victim as Obinna Efenkanku who happens to be a residence of Imude in ilemba Hausa while Collins Ichu and Abdullahi Niger both of the same inhabitants sustained serious injuries.

Weapon recovered include three Berretta pistols with three live ammunition and three expanded ammunition, one unregistered Bajaj motorcycle
He said the other injured victims have been taken to the hospital and that they are responding to treatment
