Operatives of Lagos state police command while on street patrol with a motorbike from Alausa route sighted two men whom they approached for a routine check, but eventually turned out to be suspects, and rather than subjecting themselves to security scrutiny, they took to their heels.

A statement made available to urban express news online through the police public relation officer, CSP chike Oti said during a brief interrogation, the suspect gave his name as Ifeanyi owoh.
Explaining further, the PPRO said their mission in Oregun specifically at the industrial estate was to rob a businessman whom they learnt was in town for a transaction with a notable automobile company in that settlement.
“After searching them thoroughly, one locally made pistol, three live cartridges and a dagger were recovered from them”
Oti said the commissioner of police, CP imohimi Edgal has commended the efforts of the operatives of Anti-crime unit of Alausa Division and urged other Division in the state to ensure they dominate criminal elements in their areas of responsibility in other to maintain the low crime status the state is currently enjoying
He said efforts are on to arrest his fleeing accomplice
