An Opposition party in Ogun state known as Kowa party has joined the frail of those calling for an investigation into the allegation of certificate scandal rocking the All Progressive Congress (APC) Candidate Mr Dapo Abiodun in the state
“Dapo Abiodun is currently enmeshed in a certificate scandal at the moment; therefore as critical stakeholders in the election, we have a duty to add our voice”

this submission is made In a statement signed by the Kowa party  state party chairman, Mr Adefemi Omoniyi, the statement  put further that he Mr Dapo Abiodun had claimed in his filings with INEC while running for the Senate in 2015 that he graduated from the Obafemi Awolowo University, ile-ife at the age of 26 years, the question then is why has he not done his mandatory national youth service corps which by implication carries a fine imprisonment sentence in our extant laws?
The opposition party chairman wondered why the All progress congress Guber candidate, Mr Dapo Abiodun still wants to hold public office
“From the Available records we had in our possession, it alleged that Mr Dapo Abiodun never graduated from any Nigeria University, therefore, his claim in 2015 as being a graduate from the university with a bachelor’ degree in 1989 at the age of 26 years is not only fraudulent and false but also criminal”
The statement put further that the All Progress Congress Candidate, Mr Dapo Abiodun’s Company website claims that he obtained degrees in both engineering and accounting and that which implies that he even obtained his engineering degree before obtaining an accounting degree
Kowa party chairman added that the current filling of Dapo Abiodun with INEC as a governorship candidate was deliberate and deceptive whilst avoiding adding his university qualifications into his Form CF 001to INEC, wondering what suddenly happened to his acclaimed degrees?
The statement further says; the implication of what is the action of Mr Dapo Abiodun having being graduated from ile ife in 1986 and obtained BA hon. Accounting but refuse to serve, which has remains a serious crime making it our resolve requesting the security agencies to investigate him since, in the face of the law, he has committed a serious crime
“It is also against the law to swore an affidavit to claim that he obtained another degree at Kennesaw state university in Atlanta Georgia in the united state back in 1989 where he also claims to have all this said details in it curriculum vitae”
This development is indeed the reason we decide to want Nigerians in general and Ogun state indigenes, in particular, to be aware of, while we equally want security agencies and INEC to hold Mr Dapo Abiodun accountable”.
Perverting the cause of justice by manipulating ways to emerge as the governorship candidate of his party (APC) lying on oath which indeed remain a criminal offence making false declarations obtained through fraud is something that must not be swept under the carpet
Kowa Party, therefore. call on fellow Ogun state indigenes to reject this impostor and fraud imposed by force on us by the powers that be, It is a misfortune and totally unacceptable and a big slap in the face of the people, hence it was because of a man of questionable character that Yewa was pushed out of contention in the political scheme of things in the APC vis-à-vis the 2019 governorship election.
“It is unfortunate that President Mohammadu Buhari who claims to be fighting corruption could tolerate fraudulent characters around him. Obviously, the presumed integrity of President Buhari has severely disintegrated”.
We hereby call on the security agents to immediately commence the process of investigation, arrest, and prosecution of the All Progressive Congress (APC) candidate, Mr Dapo Abiodun.
Meanwhile, inter-party Advisory council, IPAC in Ogun state has declared that the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state, Mr Dapo Abiodun is not fit to govern the state. Dapo-Abiodun IPAC made this declaration at a press briefing to address the alleged certificate scandal levied against Abiodun.
Chairman of IPAC in the state, Mr Abayomi Arabambi, however, vowed that the council will seek a legal redress if the embattled APC candidate fails to clear his name within 48 hours.
His words: “As you are all aware, the All Progressives Congress, APC, handed over their governorship ticket to Prince Abiodun to represent it in the 2019governorship election coming up on March 2nd, 2019.
“Unfortunately, the said Dapo Abiodun is not qualified to govern our dear state for the following reasons. “It may interest you to know that in 2015 elections, Mr Abiodun contested the Senate on the platform of the APC and gave some facts, claiming to have graduated from the University of Ife, now Obafemi Awolowo University in 1986 and also Kennesaw State University Atlanta Georgia, USA, 1998 as his educational qualifications.
Surprisingly those facts are quite different from what he now stated in his governorship form submitted to INEC for 2019 general poll where he claimed he is a holder of West Africa School Certificate in his form CF001. APC Candidate lauds Osinbajo’s performance at debate “Consequently, we are giving Mr Abiodun 48 hours to clear the air and explain the reasons for these discrepancies as failure will leave us with no other option than to seek legal means for outright disqualification.”
