Another Notorious cultist Dies in Shootout with Police @ Isashi As Inhabitants Jubilate

Barely Two weeks after operatives of Lagos state police command killed a notorious cultist and  armed Bandit in a gun duel along ikorodu owode, a Lagos suburb; it was yet another jubilation at isashi, a location with proximal advantage with Okokomako where operatives of the  command gun down a notorious cultist known as Olamide oloruntobi that has been terrorizing the people within the said habitat.

The 31-year-old armed bandit has been a bone in the neck of isashi community and other adjoining areas before he was gun down during an exchange of gunfire with the operatives of the Lagos state police command


Confirming the death, the Lagos state police public relation officer Csp chike Oti told our correspondent that the dreaded cultist was gun down during exchange of gunfire with operatives of the command, stating that he was the leader of the dreaded Aiye confraternity in the said area before his Waterloo at Durosooto street at cele-nicer along new Mebamu @ isashi at about 204hrs when the police were alerted that the group, led by the deceased  has since been terrorizing the residence

Oti said it was based on the information; the Divisional police officer in charge of isashi division, SP Amuda Abolaji led a team of policemen to the scene.
On arrival, the hoodlums sighted the operatives of the command and opened fire on them, this was what led to a hot exchange of gunfire and when the dust settled, Olamide oloruntobi was found dead.


Item recovered include one locally made pistol with one live ammunition
He said the corpse had been deposited at Badagry general hospital mortuary for autopsy


The Lagos state police commissioner, Mr Imohimi Edgal has charged the Divisional police to do all he can to arrest fleeing members of the gang.
The statement put further that the commissioner of police had equally directed the head of the intelligence unit of the command to assist the divisional police officer in that regard.



‘’We believe the death of a cultist is not a thing of joy, we therefore call on parents and community leaders to prevail on their children who are members of these unlawful groups to renounce cultism and surrender their weapons to the police, adding that he will personally receive them and together with other stakeholders, ensure their reintegration into the society’’
