Social media was a washed with comments particularly on urban express news online platform accusing leaders of the All progressive Congress of not standing against what they preach after it was reported that the All Progressive Congress APC is making some last minutes moves at ensuring the Reform-APC is back to its fold.

Recall that president Mohammadu Buhari and its party was reported to have been making the last minutes move with the Senate President Bukola Saraki and the Chairman of the Reformed- All Progressive Congress back in their fold where Osionhmole was also quoted as saying that their impact would not be felt. There was also a report where the reformed-APC was being threatened with a legal action in ascertaining their locus standi with using its party’s name and logo in a court of jurisdiction.
Following developments coming in reaction to the last minute's step taken By the governing All Progressive Congress, Urban express news engaged some of its followers on its Facebook accounts in what is their views. Some of them say Nigerians should ask the  APC Led government to make public what would be the offer they the APC are allegedly giving those they have already made Nigerians believe they are not losing sleep on, should in case they decide to leave its fold.
Folashade said for instance, “Buhari in his campaign said if we don’t kill corruption, corruption would kill us and with the way things are now, romancing people that were accused to be part of those that are said to be having various allegations bordering on corrupt cases  and allegation  essentially on  offa robbery case for instance that the police is still investigating where it also affirms that invitation sent to Saraki still “stands”, more of which has been  the accusation of making legislation cumbersome to the executive, and now having closed-door meeting with them,  demean the entry point on  the altar of corruption   this government had used in ridding to power”.
Okey Nwannam on his own believes that if with what the APC Newly elected chairman said is something to believe after saying he won’t lose sleep over the R-APC, then Nigerians should not take him seriously, essentially in the way osionmhole and his teams are going about, trying to pacify r-APC. Nigerians should query every step the All Progressive Congress Government is making “saying one thing with one side of the month and then saying another with another side”.
Meanwhile, the reformed-All progressive Congress has made it clear that the whole move made by president Buhari was just too late essentially to start dangling juicy carrots before its members in order to stop their defection from the ruling All Progressive Congress.

Its national publicity secretary Kassim Afegbua took a swipe at the president and the APC
The APC faction stated that the Buhari government was not a promise keeper because it had not fulfilled what it promised Nigerians during the electioneering in 2014 and 2015.
“In the last one week, Buhari and the APC had intensified efforts to prevent the defection of the R-APC members”.
Some online news had reported that the APC Had in a Last-ditch effort to stop the defection of the R-APC senators and Members of the House of Representatives, offered the lawmakers the Automatic Tickets to contest the 2019 elections
According to the report, R-APC lawmakers will defect on Thursday, if the APC does not put the promise of the automatic tickets they are being offered in writing.
Also last Thursday, Buhari met with the Senate President, Bukola Saraki, at the Presidential Villa, where he was reported to have pleaded with Saraki not to leave the APC.
The ruling party was reported to promise Saraki that he would retain the Senate presidency in 2019.
Continuing, spokesman For  R-APC, Kassim Afegua said despite the initial arrogance of the APC leaders they had been pleading with its leaders not to defect.
It stated, “We, members of the R-APC, find it very amusing that those who boasted that they won’t lose sleep over our altruistic action, have been hopping from door to door pleading with our members not to leave by dangling juicy carrots and promising them heaven and earth.
“Such level of double standard is the reason why the R-APC was birthed in the first place because the leadership is not one that keeps promises and it’s the reason why no one should take the APC seriously.”
The APC faction said that it was surprising that the President had been holding meetings with Saraki, “reportedly promising mouth-watering offers; the same leader who was ridiculed, scandalised, demonised, criminalised and called all sorts of names by agents of the Presidency just to give the Senate President a bad name in order to hang him.”

It added, “As soon as the Supreme Court gave a resounding verdict on the trumped up and frivolous charges against the Senate President, Mr President suddenly felt a need to praise the judiciary for standing on its own. Power as they truly say must be a crazy aphrodisiac.”
