Indiscriminate Shooting, Lagos CP Ordered Arrest of Four Policemen

The Lagos state commissioner of police, Mr imohmi Edgal has ordered the immediate arrest of four policemen over what it described as overzealousness  on their part for allegedly firing a shot at the airport toll-gate, hitting Mr Tunde Adeparusi, leaving the victim injured. 

The policemen according to the statement made available through the police public relation officer Csp chike Oti to urban express news online give the name of the officers to include inspector Christian offor, inspector Kingsley umeji sergeant David Eguavoen and sergeant Paul Ebo.

The statement put further that the incident that leads to the indiscriminate shooting happened at the tollgate end of the nation’s airport.
Oti said on the receipt of the report, the commissioner of police immediately ordered the command operatives to fish them out which he said remains the outcome that produces the said officers mentioned.

He said the command wishes to assure members of the public that in line with its tradition of accountability, the outcome of the trail will be made public as usual.

“The commissioner of police, Mr Imohimi Edgal wishes to reiterate that belligerent policemen and their likes who have refused to key into the professional ethos of the force have no room in this era of democratic policing’’ therefore, we enjoin police officers in Lagos to be professional in the discharge of their duties, he added.
