After stop and Search Conduct, Operatives of Lagos Police intercept 30 cartons of Tramadol, Arrest Robbers with Loots

The health damages tramadol afflicts many people around the country has been an issue for debate majorly on how the drug found its ways into the country and the need to further stem every entry points that the peddlers are using to channel the drugs into the country.

This singular effort is what the operatives of Lagos state police command had decided to sustain when policemen attached to trade fair division intercepted a Scania truck with registration number FST-45-OD laden with thirty cartons of tramadol with 100mg capsules neatly concealed using motor spare parts.


In a statement made available to urban express news online through police public relation officer Csp chike Oti, said; it took the eagle eyes of police operatives to detect the illegal consignment despite being carefully concealed.
Oti said the driver of the truck, one Igwe Ejike with residence in green land street, a location in Badagry and his conductor Stephen osita has been arrested in addition with the truck carrying the drugs.

Sounding a note of warning, the  Lagos state commissioner of police, Mr Imohimi Edgal disclosed to journalists that the command will not rest on its oars until the streets of Lagos is rid of hard drugs. He said the reward for hard work is hard work. “Our children must be saved from the evils effects of illicit drugs”  "even suspects "caught with these dastardly act will definitely have their days in the court of law he added. 

Continuing, Oti said similar development happened same day  its apprehended those in possession of the said illicit drugs known as tramadol where gang of armed robbery suspects with name Saka buraimoh (25), oni kudasi (35),  sodiq Dauda  (28) and Taiwo  popular (24) were picked along Magbon Area along Badagry Metropolis . Oti, who described the suspected armed robbers as the dreaded devil, was said to have been terrorizing the inhabitants of badagry essentially the axis where those identified suspects were apprehended.

He said luck, however, ran out of them when they attack Mr Cletus Odum, snatched the sum of two hundred and fifty thousand from him at gunpoint.

“This was how a Good Samaritan who watched helplessly but later gave it a thought as having the contact of the Divisional Police officer in charge of morogbo with him and quickly placed a distress call and in a swift response, the operative of the command quickly rushed to the scene, engaging the robbers, forcing them to retreat into a nearby swamp where they were eventually arrested”

Items recovered include one locally made double barrel pistol loaded with two live cartridges, a Bajaj  boxer motorcycle with Reg number No mus 330-0J and 

N250, 000,000. those identified gangs collected from Mr Odum.  He said the suspect will be charged to court as soon as the investigation is concluded.
