Reports going viral online on twitter with #endSARS as result of a controversy surrounding one Mr. Ademuwagun Temipote Solomon that operatives of state Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) Allegedly shot him wrongly for being labeled as fraudster in a location in ojota, specifically in Chinese town is not a true reflection of what transpired in the first place. This assertion was buttressed by Deputy Force Public relation officer Abayomi Shogunle on his twitter handle @yomishogunle.

Meanwhile in its usual response of being proactive to security concerns within its coverage, the Lagos state commissioner of police Mr Imohimi Edgal has moved swiftly to arrest those involved in wanting to set the record straight with the understanding of getting to the root of the allegation. This, it did after following the said report through an online platform that allegedly gave a contradictory account of what transpired.
The statement puts it that It was based on the report the CP immediately activated the command operatives with a divisional police officer within ojota division covering ojodu and ojota environment to immediately fish out the policemen involved in the whole development.
According to a statement made available to urban express news online through its spokesman, chike Oti, a superintendent of police said; the outcome of findings by team of operatives that went to the scene shows that one Mr.Ademuwagun Temipote Solomon was not shot by the operative of the special Anti-robbery Squad (SARS)as reported by an online media platform, but rather suffered from inhalation of tear gas spray accessioned by a neighborhood police patrol team attached to area ‘H’ command with location in ogudu in Lagos metropolis. He said the patrol team was led by inspector momoh Suleiman and assisted by Sgt Monday Emmanuel.
Accordingly, he said the investigating team had arrested and detained those identified policemen involved on the orders of Lagos CP, imohimi Edgal.
“Their trial would commence today and if found guilty of any culpability to any member of the public and unlawful exercise of authority, they could face punishment as severe as dismissal “the statement read.
