This was the submission of Lagos state commissioner of police, Mr. Imohimi Edgal on the account of a woman who made spurious allegations in a video that went viral on social media saying a police inspector, Mr. Christopher Nabugwu was worth over N2bn in cash and assets, adding that he owned a building on 27 Remi fani-kayode street GRA, Ikeja worth N250m and used exotic cars which after investigation by operatives of the Lagos state police command, it turned out not only factious, but a sinister motives to tarnished the image of the police
It was in that telling the Lagos state police command is offering an N1m reward to anybody with good information that would lead to the arrest of a mask lady whose allegation that a police inspector Christopher Nabugwu was living in opulence
In a statement made exclusively to urban express news online through its public relation officer Csp chike Oti said; the said reports caught the attention of the inspector general of police who in turn ordered an investigation into the matter.
Oti said “ investigation into the matter was painstakingly carried out and at the end of it all, it was clear the allegation were not only false and misleading, but calculated attempt to malign the name of a hard working police officer and also embarrass the police”.
