A female lawyer Mrs Udeme Odibi (47) has been alleged to have killed her husband in their country Home located at Diamond estate in Ajah, a Lagos suburb. Trouble started when distress call was placed on the Divisional Police officer in charge of Ogombo police Division in Ajah neighborhood wherein a swift response, police mobilize team of detectives to the scene and found Mr Otike Odibi (50) lying in his pool of blood with his stomach ripped open, exposing its intestine and also having its genital placed on his right hand with having reports of failed attempt of the alleged killer committing suicide.
In a statement made available to urban express news online through the command’s police public Relation, Chike Oti, a Superintendent of police, said Mrs Odibi’s failed attempt committing suicide left her with some injuries she inflicted on herself, prompting their neighbours rushing her to the hospital.
Oti said it was in that telling the commissioner of police, Mr Imohimi Edgal directed crime scene detectives of the homicide section of state Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) Panti, coupled with forensic experts to the scene to Aid investigation to unravel what transpires leading to the cause of two Couple Lawyers having to do with one party allegedly killing the other while the other attempting to commit suicide.
He said the deceased first marriage had initially produced a daughter currently schooling abroad and that the present one that led to the termination of his life has not produced any until his untimely death.
“We also gathered from a neighbour how the deceased called at night before he was murdered, complaining of a threat to life from his wife”
