Police Gets Lead Intelligence in Offa Robbery Attack As 12 Suspects is Arrested By Olusegun Ariyo

The Tragic robbery attack that terminates several lives in Offa has gotten another boost in its bid of bringing perpetrators to book.   This, the force Public Relation officer Moshood jimoh, an Assistant Commissioner of Police said was consequent upon the resolve of the inspector general of police, Ibrahim Idris in deploying police investigative teams to Kwara state with location in Offa metropolis in carrying out led intelligence in the aftermath of the attack   with the understanding of fishing out those perpetrators.

Following developments,  he said the team swing into action as they  engage in massive raids of those identified through its methodical approaches coming with confidence building patrol and intelligence gathering leading to the arrest the twelve suspects
“It was discovered that some of those suspects arrested also involved in a gun duel with the police in their various hideouts”
He said some of the suspects had admitted to various criminal roles they played in the bank's robbery attack and are assisting the police in a further investigation into the incident.
 “According to intelligence gathered one of the is alleged to be one of the sponsors of the said robbery attack and the attack on the police station  in Offa” adding that one of the suspects has made useful statements to that effect as to the role he allegedly plays”

He said another suspect, who after serving three (3) month jail term as notorious criminal was confirmed as gang member of the Offa robbery attack, adding that sophisticated weapons were found  which include ( 2) Barrette pistol and (20)  twenty rounds of live ammunition others include four phone and sim-cards belonging to victims .

“We equally found victims phones and their (Sims) from some of the suspects”
The suspects include” Adegoke Shogo (29)years,  Kayode Opadokun (36) years, Kareem Abdulrasheed (36) years, Azeez Abdullahi(27)years, Alexander Reuben (39) years, and jimoh isa(28) years.   Aminu Ibrahim (18) years Richard Buba Terry (23) years and  Peter Jabba Kunfa (25)years

Weapons recovered includes Barrette Pistol and fourteen rounds of live ammunition

Eulogizing with the families of the victims, “the force public relation officer said the Nigeria police once again deeply commiserates with the people and government of Kwara state, assuring them that the police will leave no stone unturned in unravelling this dastardly act and bring all those responsible to justice. “We equally appreciate the support from members of the public so far, as we call for calm and continuing corporation.
