A Location in Alimosho local Government in Fagbile Estate along Ijegun- Isheri area where a network of Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation's (NNPC) pipeline is situated is said to be vandalized by some individuals and as well scooping premium motor spirit (PMS) from it illegally. This, the public relation officer of Lagos state police command Sp Chike Oti said was brought to the command’s attention as a result of the report going viral on a social media platform.
In a statement made available to urban express new-online, said in response to the information generated online, men of its command went on an undercover operation and were able to apprehend six suspects.
“The Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation NNPC official, Fire Service, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence (NSCDC) were proactive at response time, as the situation was brought under control with good and efficient team management system”
He said those suspects are currently going through interrogation and would be charged to court at the conclusion of its investigation.
Among those apprehend include Jimoh shola (23) yrs, wasiu Adebayo(23), Sanni Shago Alamu Garuba(22)yrs Jonathan okiki (35)yrs, and Taoheed Saula (33)yrs.
Meanwhile, Lagos state commissioner of police, Mr. imohimi Edgal has commissioned Tejuoso market as part of efforts ensuring crime reduction and efficiency of community policing as justification for police post approval for Tejuoso market. Move stakeholders says it will allow the market perform optimally.
Speaking at the commissioning, the market chief finance officer, Mr Babatunde Ige thanked the inspector general of police for giving approval for the establishment of police post as he promise that the market will give the police post every needed support it may stand in need.
Continuing, Mr Imohimi Edgal thank the management of Tejuoso market for providing space for the establishment of the police post as he said its indeed part of the inspector general of police, (IGP) Ibrahim Idris strategy at ensuring community policing within communities in Lagos.
