Former Super Eagles midfielder Finidi George has told Nigeria Federation officials that he was prepared to coach the national Under-17 team for free if given the chance.
Finidi was one of the 59 shortlisted coaches interviewed by the NFF technical committee for vacant national teams’ posts. “Finidi has told NFF officials he is willing to coach the U17s for free,” Brilla spot was quoted said an official of the NFF.
“He has already told the technical committee he is not disturbed about the poor finances of the NFF which may cause salaries to be delayed for several months. “He said he is only driven to give something back to the country that made him and he believes he can impact what he has learnt working with age-group teams in Mallorca to make a difference with the country’s cadet team.
