The Government of Nigeria has declared Friday 1st and Monday 4th of next month in September 2017as Public Holiday in celebrating Eid-il-Kabir
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Monday in Abuja and approved by Representative of the office of the permanent secretary, Dr Rufai Kawu Attahiru .
The statement Read in part; The Hon Minister of Interior, Abdulrahman Bello Dambazau, who made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government, congratulated Muslim faithful and all Nigerians, urging them to use the occasion to pray for peace, unity, prosperity and the stability of the country’s democracy.
“Gen. Dambazau further urged all Nigerians to join hands with the Government of President Muhammadu Buhari in its avowed determination to build a peaceful and harmonious country, where the rights of every citizen, are protected and guaranteed, as enshrined in the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
